We are looking to add a Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist to our friendly & professional team.
These positions are perfect for a person who has worked in the hair or makeup industry before and looking to develop their styling skills. Both positions must have blow dry and styling experience.
Vlushe Lounge is a premium blow dry lounge with quality products and equipment. We strive to deliver luxury services in both hair and makeup.
About the role
• Casual or Part Time available
• Flexible hours available
• 10 – 30 hours per week (Tuesday – Saturday)
Duties include;
· Providing hair product knowledge and advice
· Client consultations and sign-ups
· Giving an incredible basin experience with washing & massages
· Upselling of treatments
· Round brush blow-dries
· Hot iron styling to Vlushe Lounge standards
· Formal up styles, braids, pony’s and buns
· Making beverages such as tea, coffee & cocktails for clients
· Training to the Vlushe Lounge standards will be provided
Makeup Artist duties also include;
All of the above tasks plus:
· Providing makeup product knowledge and advice
· Skin consultation and hygiene
· Makeup applications (bridal, glam, events, false lashes application)
Requirements;
· Minimum 1-year styling experience for the Hair Stylist role (no cuts or colouring knowledge required)
· Fully qualified makeup artist for the Makeup Artist role
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Able to work both independently and closely with other team members
· Organised, efficient and uses initiative
· Be positive, mature, professional, reliable, and well presented
· Able to establish ongoing relationships and hold an engaging conversation
· Ready to learn new techniques and be open to ongoing training & development
· Interested in career growth and passion for hair care
· Confident using a computer and tablet
